ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Extol of Ohio, Inc. is certified to ISO 9001:2015, the international standard for quality management systems. Certification was issued by IAPMO SCB under ANAB accreditation, Certificate No. 1121102, and is valid through August 27, 2029.
The registered scope covers the design, fabrication and distribution of thermal insulation systems and related components for piping, fittings, valves, vessels, and OEM applications. The scope includes design, not fabrication and distribution alone; the engineering that determines how a system fits together is held within the certified quality management system.
What Certification Provides
Certification formalizes practices Extol has maintained since 1985. Precision fabrication, consistent conformance to specification, and reliable delivery performance are now supported by a documented quality management system subject to independent third-party audit and continual improvement.

Fabrication Standards
Extol fabricates to ASTM C450 and ASTM C585, the standards governing dimensions and tolerances for fabricated thermal insulation. Conformance ensures that insulation layers nest correctly on multi-layer systems and that fitting covers match specified pipe and insulation sizes.

Materials
Extol fabricates cellular glass, extruded polystyrene, polyisocyanurate, phenolic, mineral wool, and perlite, each supplied in conformance with its governing ASTM material standard.
